I launched Alternative Health Systems in the 1980s to perform statewide group health data studies in Rhode Island. I won a contract with the U.S. Public Health Service to organize federal managed care organizations and fed schedule pharmacy links on Indian reservations. This led to contracts with several commercial HMOs including Blue Cross of Massachusetts.

Data architecture is an important component of healthcare data studies. Typically I use PowerDesigner as a data architecture tool to generate conceptual and physical maps and Erwin to build SQL database generation code. I have current experience with On Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) as well as with data warehousing structures.
